Antonio Machado

Antonio Machado (1875–1939) was a Spanish poet of the Generation of '98, known for lyrical works on time, memory, and the Spanish landscape. Exiled after the Spanish Civil War, he died in Collioure, France; his writings include the aphorism 'Traveler, there is no path; the path is made by walking.'
