Barbara Mikulski

Barbara Mikulski (born July 20, 1936) is an American politician who represented Maryland in the U.S. Senate from 1987 to 2017 after serving in the House from 1977 to 1987. A Democrat and the longest-serving woman in Congress, she advocated for social services, women's issues, and federal funding priorities.
