Carrie Chapman Catt

Carrie Chapman Catt (1859–1947) was an American suffrage leader who served twice as president of the National American Woman Suffrage Association and founded the League of Women Voters. She led campaigns that helped secure the U.S. 19th Amendment granting women the vote.
