Emmy Werner
Emmy Werner (1929–2017) was an American developmental psychologist best known for the Kauai Longitudinal Study, which identified factors that promote resilience in children who face adversity. Her research established protective influences—such as supportive relationships and temperament—that help at-risk children develop well.
