Giuseppe Verdi

Giuseppe Verdi (1813–1901) was an Italian composer and the dominant figure of 19th-century Italian opera, best known for Rigoletto, Il Trovatore, La Traviata, Aida, Otello and Falstaff. He supported Italian unification and is associated with the patriotic remark, "You may have the universe if I may have Italy."
