Herbie Hancock

Herbie Hancock (born April 12, 1940, in Chicago) is an American jazz pianist, keyboardist, composer and bandleader. A member of Miles Davis's Second Great Quintet and a pioneer of jazz fusion—notably with the 1973 album Head Hunters—he has won multiple Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year for River: The Joni Letters (2008).
