John Ashbery

John Ashbery (1927–2017) was an American poet associated with the New York School, noted for his inventive, elliptical style. He won the Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Award, and the National Book Critics Circle Award for Self-Portrait in a Convex Mirror and is widely regarded as a major figure in postwar American poetry.
