Madeline Albright

Madeleine Albright (1937–2022) served as the 64th U.S. Secretary of State from 1997 to 2001 and was the first woman to hold that office. Born in Czechoslovakia, she was a diplomat, scholar and author who promoted U.S. engagement abroad and emphasized creating opportunities in foreign policy.
