Pablo Casals

Pablo Casals (1876–1973) was a Catalan cellist, conductor and composer celebrated for reviving the Bach Cello Suites and for his expressive technique. He was an outspoken advocate for peace and human rights who lived in exile during Franco's regime and spent his later years in Puerto Rico.
