Stephen Jay Gould
Stephen Jay Gould (1941–2002) was an American paleontologist, evolutionary biologist, and historian of science. He served as a professor at Harvard and Columbia, co-developed the theory of punctuated equilibrium, and wrote numerous essays and books popularizing evolutionary biology.
