Tenzin Gyatso, the Dalai Lama

Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama, is the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism and a prominent international advocate for compassion, nonviolence, and human rights. Born in 1935 and exiled from Tibet in 1959, he received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989 and continues to promote dialogue and ethical leadership.
