William Carlos Williams

William Carlos Williams (1883–1963) was an American poet and physician central to modernist and Imagist movements, known for works such as Spring and All and the epic Paterson. He practiced medicine in Rutherford, New Jersey while writing concise, image-driven poems about everyday life and won the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry in 1963.
